This is migh-T new SS11 collection I have released just now!
2011 Spring Summer collectionThe inspiration for the SS11 " Long Distance Love" collection came from Kumiko’s fascination of worldly stamps and her romanticising of other distant countries and far away lands. Following on from the iconic koala print from the AW 09 collection, “Long Distance Love” explores the spectrum of emotions one goes through whilst in a long distance friendship. Hand drawn illustrations of stamps, airmail and gifts between friends and lovers are just some of the prints that take pride of place in within the collection.
I will be in Paris from 3rd to 5th October. Please contact me for individual appointments! info@kumikowatari.com +44 7885467309

Delicately hand drawn illustrations compliment the softness of silk, bringing new depths to the pieces.
Pure silk and cotton jersey feature heavily and are crafted into petite-cropped as well as over-sized tees, all in one playsuits and dresses.
By reaching into the playful nature of the inner child and mixing it with a skilled knowledge of her craft, Kumiko presents a beautifully unique and distinct collection that further solidifies her profile as one of London’s premier textile fashion designers.

I like summer here. very bright and lots of flowers. these roses were seen near my house last summer. I came up with the idea when I was seeing them on the way to the bus stop. Do not forget about gnomes who live under the trees..x
We had a show in Tokyo last month. I was there as one of European designers..how strange and exciting! migh-T will be sold in Tokyo, Yokohama and Osaka next season!!
We have released migh-T 10AW collection "Space Sweets" at Who's Next Paris last month.
TheAW10 collection entitled ‘Space Sweets’ features huge sweets flying through the universe on new pattern T-shirts and dresses. The prints showing doughnut meteors and whipped cream comets represent the massive freedom of childhood playfulness. The designs use different scales to show that there is no limit to your imagination. From doughnuts soaring through the Milky Way, to constellations showing faces in the sky, anything is possible.
