Project White T-shirt in LA

This is a charity exhibition which I participate as one of the 31 designers. It supports the world wide charity Designers Against Aids.

It is so interesting to watch each designer's work on the video! So funny.

A graduate of Central Saint Martins, Kumiko Watari designs clothing filled with color and marked by a distinct whimsical tone. Her most recent collection, themed "Gnomes and Gardens," interprets the juxtaposition of the gnomes' beautiful, flower-filled environment and the dangers they face from thorns and big cats. For Project White T-Shirt, Kumiko envisioned a world in which gnomes are actually larger than humans and designed a standard t-shirt for them, allowing the wearer to experience the life of a gnome as humans become relatively smaller. While the white color of a t-shirt may be standard in human fashion, Kumiko incorporated the gnomes' environment and surrounding foliage as the gnomes' standard pattern to catch the spirit of their fashion.

Lemon Label

Hello. The collection came back from Paris today. The most exciting part this season is the new T-shirts line, migh-T "lemon label". This is the range which is more affordable but also based on the same theme as the main collection "Gnomes and Gardens".
I named "lemon label" just because the garment label is my favourite colour, lemon yellow!

We had migh-T launch party at No-One last week. It was a great time.
I also did the display for the window. The display will be this for a week. You can stop by for a coffee at their cafe and check out the migh-T world:)

WORKSHOP Paris

I am going to show migh-T Spring Summer 2010 collection at WORKSHOP showroom in Paris from 1st-4th 0ctober!
The show is held in the heart of Pairs, CERCLE REPUBLIAIN, near Palais Royal.
The theme for this collection is GNOMES and the world around them.

Not just a label

The selection was made by Diane Pernet, the editor of cult-favourite blog, A SHADED VIEW ON FASHION and talent scout for the festival D’ HYERES.

I have made postcards to promote migh-T autumn winter collection.
I like the gloss effect on this postcard.
No letters on the front.
Just like collecting museum postcards, you can collect migh-T postcards every season!

new label is stamp!

migh-T 's new labels have arrived from Japan.
Each item will have this new label from the autumn winter collection.
I used to collect postage stamps from various countries when I was about 10.
I like the moment when I put stamps before I send letters, so I created this label like a stamp!
The clothes will be delivered to my customers with these stamps on!

Vauxhall Style show at London Westfield

migh-T took part of Vauxhall Style exclusive show today with the other 8 designers at Westfield shopping centre. In the audition to select the model for the face of Tigra, all the models wore the Uniform vests which I designed for this event. All the girls look very confident and having fun in migh-T vests! The design idea was a 3D smiley face in Vauxhall theme colours,very bright pink and yellow.
I was pleased to see the happy faces in happy face T!

Vauxhall Style at Britain's Next Top Model

migh-T has been selected to be on the catwalk at Britain's Next Top Model event starting this Saturday. Vauxhall Style will have a tour in 4 different cities in England.
I have also designed the uniform T-shirts models are going to wear in the show!
